In conjunction with creating this blog we have now also set up a donation page on JustGiving for the Katie Piper Foundation.
In 2008 my sister was deliberately attacked in broad daylight in London which happened 2 weeks before my first marathon. She had acid thrown in her face and wasn’t expected to survive that night. I spent the next 2 weeks at her hospital bed and ran the marathon while she was in a medically-induced coma. Through ground-breaking treatments and hundreds of operations (which are still on-going to this day), she pulled through and has now dedicated her life and career to helping others and a set up a charity, campaigning for better access to the treatments she received.

We completely self-fund our marathon adventures so anything you donate will go directly towards making a difference to people’s lives through the charity. We see the difference Katie’s charity makes first hand ourselves and the work they are doing is amazing.
